Academic Training Initiative

The ATI program is a franchise model, which is transferrable to host countries through higher education institutions. This program follows the principles of Church-Owned Bible Translation. The target audience is trained with modules that increase their knowledge and context of oral communities. It also teaches technology for translation, how to produce quality Scriptures, and it provides a practicum for apprenticeship.

God’s Word translated in the languages of every nation is strategic and crucial to advancing the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That is why Bible translation is integral to making disciples of every nation.

-Rev. Dr. Romerlito C. Macalinao, Ed.D. Former Strategic Initiatives Director

Graduate Diploma, M.A. and D.Min. Bible Translation Programs

  • Wycliffe Associates recognizes the need for Scriptures in both oral and written forms.
  • To address these needs a training program called Academic Training Initiative was developed as a supplement to MA and Ph.D. seminary programs.
  • ATI Bible translation modules train mother tongue translators, translation supervisors, and consultants.
  • ATI provides these Bible translation modules to local higher education institutions free of charge.
